Assistant Leisure Services Director @ Washington City
Benjamin Rae currently serves as Assistant Leisure Services Director for Washington City and has worked for the city since 2011. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University in 2003 and his Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Southern Utah University in 2017.
He has served in many leadership and civic groups throughout his professional career including American Red Cross Disaster Team, Age Group Chair on the Utah Swimming Board of Directors, Healthy Dixie Council, Washington City Active Transportation Committee, and Southern Region Representative for the Utah Recreation and Parks Association.
While he has had great opportunities in the recreation field, his greatest priority is his own family. He has a wife and 3 children who love to be outside and participate in any activity they can find. Outside of work, some of his funnest times are found coaching sports teams for his kids, gardening, serving in church, and training for triathlons (finally did the St. George Ironman in 2019).
