Rise to the Challenge of This New Economy.  Lovesac is a Utah original, founded in 1998 as the side-hustle of a University of Utah student named Shawn Nelson. From bootstrap to venture capital and private equity to its recent IPO, Lovesac has had to pivot is business model and product line more than once as it has quietly become what is now the fastest growing furniture brand in the United States. Lovesac’s unique approach to doing business is driven by a design philosophy that has evolved over the past 20 years called “Designed for Life,” which has far reaching implications toward driving innovation and sustainability in this new economy that Nelson hopes can be applied across every industry.

First Breakout – Residential Real Estate in Washington County: A Review and a Preview

Change is a funny thing. Sometimes it’s so gradual we barely notice it, and other times change happens so fast that it flashes before our eyes. Whether slow, abrupt, or some combination of the two, winds are changing our local real estate housing market. Like the weather, these winds will come at different times to different markets in the approaching months and years and they will alter our status quo.  However, it’s no time to put our heads in the sand or wish for the good old days of 2016 and 2017. So, what can we expect? Come to this year’s real estate breakout session and take a look into the crystal ball.

First Breakout – State Tourism & Zion National Park

Utah’s National Parks continue to be an abundance of resources for our state.  According to a recent National Park Service analysis, the parks accounted for over 14 million visits, generating billions in spending and resources . The majority of these funds are funneled right back into Utah’s rural gateway communities.    They’re not slowing down either, NPS estimates that people are spending more than ever during their visits year over year. For the first time, Zion reported more annual visitors than Yellowstone.
